Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might want to know before your first session in the water.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Yes. For Try Freediving you need to be able to swim; the certification courses (Freediver and above) require you to swim a set distance without swim or buoyancy aids — 100m for Freediver and Advanced Freediver, 400m for Performance Freediver. If you’re unsure whether you meet the requirement, just ask.
Is freediving safe?
Freediving is safe when it’s taught properly. Every session includes instructor supervision, safety protocols, and small groups — a maximum of 3 students per instructor — so you always have close, attentive guidance in the water.
What’s the difference between Try Freediving and the Freediver course?
Try Freediving is a one-day, no-commitment introduction with no certification requirements beyond being able to swim. The Freediver course is a full SSI certification over 2.5 days, teaching the skills, safety procedures and equalisation you need to dive independently to 10–20m.
Do I need my own equipment?
No. Full freediving equipment is included in every course. For training sessions, equipment hire (wetsuit, mask, fins) is available for €15/day if you don’t have your own.
What if I’m not confident in the water?
That’s exactly what these courses are built for. The focus throughout is relaxation, breathing awareness and building confidence gradually — there are no performance targets, and coaching is paced to you.
Are courses available in Polish?
Yes — courses, training and yoga sessions are available in both English and Polish.
Do you need a medical certificate?
A completed medical questionnaire is required for all courses. Depending on your answers, a medical certificate from a doctor may also be needed — this will be confirmed with you before your course.
What should I bring on the first day?
Swimwear, a towel, sun protection, and water. If you have your own mask, fins or wetsuit bring’them as well.
